After working two hours on a more detailed version, it was getting dark and I decided to leave it for other time to continue. Instead, I started a new night version that turned out as this half an hour sketch. So far, I like more this quick version. Perhaps, for this one I didn’t think too much and did it based on feeling.

Drawing with a brush and ink at Seneca AntiCafe in Bucharest.

“… she looked at the sides of the well, and noticed that they were filled with cupboards and book-shelves; here and there she saw maps and pictures hung upon pegs”
Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, by Lewis Carroll

Travelling for my work duties by the tram 45 in Bucharest. A shaking vehicle is always a challenge for drawing and ends up with hard to control line work. It seems that the passenger in front of me is going to an exam as he is trying to learn something by heart. He opens to read then closes his notebook to repeat. I can relate to such kind of last-minute learning, Sometimes it worked sometimes it didn’t.

Having lunch at Tuk Tuk, an authentic Thai restaurant in Bucharest.

A brief sketching session at Bucharest North railway station while it was snowing in the morning. Some snowflakes fell on paper melting and smudging the ink, creating tiny blots. Passengers rush in and out of the trains and so do I as the trains can depart at any time. Before I found some colors in my bag pack the middle one already left.
