Bucharest North railway station (Jan, 2019)
A brief sketching session at Bucharest North railway station while it was snowing in the morning. Some snowflakes fell on paper melting and smudging the ink, creating tiny blots. Passengers rush in and out of the trains and so do I as the trains can depart at any time. Before I found some colors in my bag pack the middle one already left.
Seneca AntiCafe in Bucharest (Jan, 2019)
Seneca AntiCafe in Bucharest is an informal library where I found some good books about art to browse. After switching a book about composition to one about the center of interest I decided to capture a view in the Silence room.
Putul lui Zamfir (Zamfir’s Well) Street in Bucharest (Jan, 2019)
This time sketching at Putul lui Zamfir (Zamfir’s Well) Street in Bucharest. Trying to use more traditional media, such as charcoal and pastel in this case. I have been relying too much on fineliners and markers lately. Perhaps it is much easier to carry them everywhere.
Basarab railway station in Bucharest (Jan, 2019)
On my way back from work to home I stopped to sketch at Basarab railway station in Bucharest, that is mainly used for short-distance commuter trains. I would like to draw more trains. So, I will return more often here to study trains.
Wooden church, Romanian Peasant Museum, Bucharest (Jan, 2019)
Even though it has been freezing cold, I wanted to sketch outside today. So I took my small watercolors (all my utensils and sketchbook fitted in my pockets) and went to Romanian Peasant Museum, Bucharest. The wooden church (from 17th century) that contrasts with the skyscraper seen in the background was moved to Bucharest from Hunedoara County in 1992. Now after being reconstructed it is inside of the interior courtyard.
